The Club

 

The Ogdensburg Figure Skating Club began in 1976.  The club operates under the guidance of United States Figure Skating.  The OFSC offers programs for skaters of all ages and levels.  Programs include group lessons with OFSC skating professionals, private lessons, and participation in our annual ice show.

Safety Considerations

*Skaters under the age of 8 must have an adult present while they are skating.

*Skaters should be dressed in layers and have gloves/mittens and hats available on our cold days.  

*If your skater, particularly in the beginning stages of skating, would like to wear a helmet please feel free to bring one for them to  use.

*It is recommended that you purchase your child a pair of skates that are supportive in the ankles and have a strong frame.  Blades should be sharpened prior to the season and then again as they get dull.  Please make sure to wipe blades dry when skaters get off the ice and store them with cloth blade covers to avoid rust.
