Skating Groups

Basic Skills

Our Basic Skills program provides instruction to those children just learning to skate and continues through 6 basic levels of skating designed by USFS.  Our skaters are provided 15 minutes of instruction by one of our skating professionals as well as additional instruction for their remaining ice time by one of our pro helpers.  Our program prides itself in providing instruction, assistance, support, and supervision for the whole time skaters are on the ice.

Private lessons can also be requested at this level if a parent/guardian is interested.

Our skaters must pass Basic 6 in order to advance to the Junior level skating group. USFS has re-arranged their groups, Basic 7 & 8 are now a part of our Junior ice time.

Junior skaters receive a Jr. Coach lesson, twice a week.  At this level skaters are encouraged to get a private lesson coach for skill development and progression.

Calendars are subject to change.

Senior 1 skaters have already passed a USFS test in one of the three main disciplines: Moves in the Field, Dance, Freestyle.

Skaters interested in Dance must begin taking lessons with one of our male dance coaches in order to test.

Senior skaters are expected to have a private lesson coach for skill development and progression.

Skaters at this level continue testing at local USFS sponsored test sessions in the three domains of figure skating: Freestyle, Moves in the Field, and Dance.  Private lesson coaches will fill out test applications when skaters are ready to test.
